DAY 1 – ROME (IN THE HEART OF ROME)

Arrival into Rome Fiumicino Airport ( Cruise Terminal or Rail Arrival please inquire.) Check-in at Hotel Leon’s Palace or similar Freshen- up and then be ready for your Private Guide who will pick you up at your hotel and take you on a walking tour of the heart of Rome. Visit highlights of Baroque Rome, starting from the Spanish Steps. Moving next to Piazza Navona, enjoying a nice walk through the streets of the Capital. Discover secrets and legends of the most popular stairway of the world, background of many Hollywood movies. Enjoy the 18th century atmosphere of the Square with the beautiful Barcaccia, fountain designed by Bernini father and son. Then head to Trevi Fountain: the imposing set for the Oscar winner movie by Fellini “La Dolce Vita”, icon of the Italian sixties and beloved by visitors for the coin throwing tradition, to ensure a future visit to Rome. The visit will continue with a stop inside the Church of St. Louis of the French, which hosts beautiful works of art by Caravaggio. The tour ends in one of the most beautiful squares of Rome: Piazza Navona with the splendid Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi by Bernini and the imposing St. Agnes Church by Borromini. Then conclude with a stop at the Pantheon,one of the most precious ancient Roman monuments. Once a Temple dedicated to all the Gods, converted later in a Catholic Church, this is a real masterpiece of architecture with its original ancient dome with the “oculum” and its interior decorations. Your private guide will then accompany you to the meeting point, where you will meet- a true local “foodie” expert, along with him you will join others as you get ready for a tasty experience centralized on samples of regional food that are paired with superior wines from the chef and the sommelier. The cellar floor is the set of our aperitif. Walk around the cellar and discover tradition, history in a really amazing place. After the aperitif, access the reserved table and start to taste some of the specialties of the house and learn about the history and the tradition. From the aperitif to the dessert in Italian style, be ready for a trip through senses discovering differences and highlights of food and wines of Italy- an enitre three course meal! Buon Apetito! At the end of the night take a nice stroll to walk-off all that you enjoyed during dinner. Return to your hotel on your own. Buona Notte!

DAY 2 – ROME (VATICAN & COLOSSEUM)

After an early breakfast, head out for a day full of art, history, and all the wonders that make ancient Rome a must-see. First your expert guide will pick you up from your hotel for a tour of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, jumping the lines! Your guide will lead you into the museums, through our preferred entrance, hence you’ll visit one of the most important art collections of the world! Admire the Gallery of Tapestries, the Geographical Maps and the beautiful Raphael’s rooms before arriving at the famous Sistine Chapel and inside the unforgettable Basilica! After the Sistine Chapel you will be taken, through an exclusive access to St. Peters Basilica, skipping long lines. Then break for a light lunch (included), to regroup with our afternoon tour of the Colosseum. Get ready to enter the legend Upon reaching the Archeological area with your group, you’ll have access the Palatine Hill with no line and discover the hill where Rome was founded at the beginning. Then reach the Colosseum and be amazed by this monument that is the symbol of Rome in the world. The Amphitheater created to entertain ancient Roman citizens with bloody shows of gladiators, animals and cruel games, is now one of the most fascinating landmark of the City. Then, walk on the original path of ancient Rome along the Via Sacra and see the Temples of Vesta, Antonino and Faustina, the ancient Basilica Julia and Aemilia and dream about the glorious past of the Roman Empire. Unforgettable! At the end of the tour, rest of the day at leisure, return to your hotel on your own.

DAY 3 – (A DAY IN THE PARK-VILLA BORGHESE & PANORAMIC BUS TOUR)

After breakfast visit one of Romes most interesting and aristocratic villas! End your visit with a Picnic at one of the amazing gardens of Rome. The Borghese Gallery houses a vast collection of sculptures and paintings made by the genius of masters such as Caravaggio, Bernini and Titian. After this amazing visit, you will be taken for an enchanting walk though the Borghese Gardens (Villa Borghese): this is one of the favourite parks for all Romans and it’s a real paradise in the heart of the Eternal City. The tour with the guide ends with a breathtaking view from atop the Pincio Terrace. Then you will be able to reach by your own Piazza Bucarest, outside Casina Valadier, where at 12:30 pm we will deliver your Picnic hamper filled with local home made products, and complete with cutlery, glassware and napkins. Enjoy! Rest of the day at leisure. Use your complimentary Hop-on and Hop off bus to board the open-air bus that showcases the ‘Eternal City’ in all its glory. “Hop-on and hop – off the bus as many times as you wish within ticket validity. Buses run every 10 – 20 minutes and there are 8 stops where you can hop off the bus to explore landmarks and places of interest. Complimentary headphones are provided on the bus with commentary offered in a choice of 9 language. Return to your hotel on your own.

DAY 4 – ROME
