ESCORIAL AND VALLEY OF THE FALLEN This half-day tour visits the Royal Monastery of Escorial, constructed by Philip II, and the Palace of the Austrians, the Pantheon of the Kings and Princes, the Sala Capitular and the basilica. Afterwards, the tour continues to the “Valley of the Fallen”, constructed as a monument to those who lost their lives in the Spanish Civil War. This majestic setting in the midst of the mountains of Madrid with the impressive basilica excavated from the face of the mountain and the enormous cross erected over it makes this an unforgettable experience.
