CITY TOUR HORTA
The city tour by foot to Horta contemplates several aspects of the city: culture, history, faith, architecture. The meeting point is the marina of Horta, on Hortacetaceos BASE. The city tour starts passing by the old fort of Santa Cruz, by Trinity House and the German Cologne. Walking up the street Consul Dabney, with a short stop at the Regional Legislative Assembly for contemplation of the Bay of Horta. Descent to the Garden Florencio Terra, Clock Tower and Old Hospital. Short stop at Faialense Theatre Society and Amor da Patria. As the regional products are very popular, the visit to the Municipal Market is mandatory. Continue the city tour visiting the interior streets of downtown, passing through grocery shops and visit the Church. To finish the tour, visit to the Marina Horta and its world-famous paintings.

WHALE WATCHING
The whale watching activity, which takes from 2h30m and 3 hours, is done by a professional team of lookouts, skippers and biologists on rigid inflatable boats or fibre glass boats. Before you leave to the ocean, the whaling company makes a briefing including information about the species you may see, and the Azorean Whale Watching code of ethics. The company also provides the necessary equipment you should take to ensure your safety and comfort (life vest and rain jackets).

FAIAL
Departure in direction of the viewpoint of Espalamaca. Continue by the mountain road overlooking the valley of Flamengos until the Caldeira, the highest point on the island. Continue in direction of Capelinhos passing by Praia do Norte. Stop at Capelinhos (the remains of the last volcanic eruption in the Azores, 1957). Return to Horta along the coast.
